Our Story

The story of GẠO started in 1992 when a widowed Vietnamese woman named Hương Võ decided to migrate to America with her 5 children: 2 sons and 3 daughters.  After 6 months in a refugee camp, her family finally arrived in Northern California. She had only $100 in her pocket.  After many months searching, she found a job working as a waitress in a Vietnamese restaurant.  Even though the hours were long, the work was hard, she managed well.  She also made time to attend a community college to get her associate degree in accounting.

Really good place for either single person, couple, or an entire family to come. Our family of 12 including out of town visitors really enjoyed a great dinner at this place. Tony here is awesome and we appreciate so much!

My friend and I LOVED this place! It was our first times in, and it was lovely! Relaxing ambience, friendly staff, and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS! Also the bubble tea was the perfect amount of sweetness for me.
Absolutely give this place a try! 💖

We were looking for something warm and healthy for a rainy day lunch. We found it plus great service and delicious food. The pho was richly flavored and generously portioned. Can't wait to come back and try another kind.
